Setting up your PC

Installing and setting up NetDrive is easy, just follow these steps. (You only need to do this once)

Please Note:

• NetDrive only works on Windows machines. It will not work on a Macintosh or Linux computer.

• Netdrive needs windows 2000 Pro or XP to operate. It will install on 98 etc but will not connect due to problems with https.

• You need to be logged on to the internet for it to work.
   

First, you need to obtain NetDrive, please contact :

SWRC IT Help Desk by email or phone 9780 7314

Once you have the netdrive.exe, copy it to the desktop of your PC.

Then double-click the netdrive.exe on your desktop.

During the NetDrive Installation, Click Next through all the prompts. (We recommend you restart your computer after the installation finishes)

Excellent, you have installed NetDrive.  Now we will set it up so you can access your College files
Double-click the NetDrive icon in the system tray. (bottom right hand corner of the screen near the clock)

Click New Site in the bottom left

Enter the name and address details exactly as in the diagram below. This is case sensitive.

So enter:
swtafe into the top box, and
https://163.232.40.203/oneNet/NetStorage into the box below

Click Finish

Then untick the Anonymous/Public Logon box.

Click Exit to close NetDrive

The NetDrive setup process is now completed!..... Well done!
